It’s hard to find William La Rue Jones NOT laughing.
He’s one of those people who finds his glass half full.
In fact, his wife says he will laugh at about anything. He takes it as a compliment.
It’s people, however — family, friends, co-workers, students — that have him laughing the most.
“I love people,” Jones said. “I love listening to their stories and whatever is humorous to them.”
He’s especially taken by the cute, unknowing actions of children.
“The thing that makes me laugh without anything is little people,” Jones said. “They are so innocent.
“They will just do funny things without even thinking of it. Their actions aren’t construed.”
Though not a granddaddy yet, he’s hoping. His daughter is 35, his son, 30.
“Like most parents I’m saying, ‘What are you waiting for?’” Jones said.
