Eldon Stutsman

1914-2002. Founder of a company bearing his name, now among eastern Iowa’s largest suppliers of farm products, employing more than 140 people, many at its plant and offices at Hills. Still family owned, it began when he started a Sharon Center area milk route during 1934, adding a feed operation from his farm two years later. The business was moved in 1948 from the farm into Hills, nearer a railroad spur and direct highway routes. A Sharon Center native, his board service included Johnson County 4-H Fair, Sharon Township School District and Iowa Feed and Grain Dealers Association.
