Woodrow "Woody" Morris
Age: 96. Pioneer in research and application in the field of gerontology, professor and past associate dean of the UI medical school, whose work on aging issues have impacted every senior service and housing facility in the area, state and beyond. His aging issues advocacy took him to the White House and U.S. Senate during the 1960s and 1970s for conference, task force and committee testimony spanning the fields of psychology, medical education and gerontology. He provided leadership in development and building Ecumenical Towers, headed Masons locally and in Iowa, and is a Preucil School of Music benefactor.
