Margaret Morgan
Age: 85. Coralville promoter and activist, key organizer of annual July 4 parades and Christmastime luminary displays in her adopted community. A fellow Lions Club member and fan of Iowa City historian Irving Weber, she also served the Johnson County Historical Society and was instrumental in restoring its Heritage Schoolhouse Museum. She and Dick Myers helped organize the first Coralville July 4 parade in conjunction with 1983 schoolhouse dedication. With 37 units the first year, it now features more than 150. After she and husband, Owen, moved into a new Coralville home during 1976, she soon organized neighborhood holiday lights displays.
